With it looking all but likely that Manchester United has already found the next man to replace outgoing Erik ten Hag, a giant billboard has been placed outside the stadium to mark the occasion. Alcohol brand Fireball Whiskey has left a message to the new manager Ruben Amorim with the billboard reading, 'The United Job: Sounds like heaven, burns like hell.'

The company also offered United fans a free shot of their whiskey liqueur. Ahead of United's Carabao Cup fixture against Leicester on Wednesday (October 30) fans were treated to a free drink at the Mojo Bar on Bridge Street.

Manchester United managed to see past Leicester to mark their spot in the next round of the cup competition with a 5-2 win. The game was the first match played since Dutch coach Erik ten Hag was sacked by the United board after two years in charge of the team.

While former United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy was appointed as interim coach, reports have stated that an agreement has been reached between Sporting CP in Portugal and the red devils for the services of 39-year-old manager Ruben Amorim who is set to take control of the team late November.

To welcome Amorim and poke fun at the challenging managerial role at Old Trafford, the mobile billboard by Fireball paraded its way around Manchester yesterday afternoon taking in the sights and sounds of the city.

Lorenzo Farronato, European marketing director for Fireball said: “As the next stage of Manchester United’s managerial saga appears to be almost decided, we’re thrilled to be able to give United fans something to spice up the occasion with our friends at Mojo Bar.

“We want to wish the manager the best of luck in their new role and to let them know that Fireball is here for any celebrations (or commiserations) that come with the next rollercoaster era of club leadership."
