Real Madrid have suffered a major injury blow ahead of their La Liga El Clásico with Barcelona on Saturday.

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti will be without forward Rodrygo when they host Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu this week due to injury.

The Brazilian sustained a muscular injury during Real Madrid’s Champions League 5-2 win against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.

He was replaced by Rodrygo by Aurelien Tchouameni in the 85th minute.

According to Fabrizio Romano, tests carried out on Rodrygo after the match revealed that he would not take part in the El Clásico at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid currently sits in the second position on the La Liga table with three points behind leaders Barcelona.
