The Green Bay Packers will be without three key starters and a top reserve when they face the Los Angeles Rams today.

Starting wide receivers Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson will both miss the game. Cornerback Jaire Alexander is also out, as is reserve defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt — who leads the team with 3.0 sacks.

Doubs was suspended for the game for conduct detrimental to the team. Doubs went AWOL and didn't show up for work Thursday or Friday because he was reportedly unhappy with his role in the passing game.

Doubs was then suspended on Saturday.

“Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week’s game,” Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said. “His decisions and actions during the week negatively impacted the team and required us to take this action. While we are certainly disappointed, we are confident that we will be able to move forward in a positive manner.”

Watson suffered an ankle injury late in the first quarter against Minnesota in Week 4 and didn't return. Watson did not practice this week, and will miss his ninth game since the start of the 2023 season.

Alexander, the highest paid cornerback in the NFL, will miss his second straight game with a groin injury. Since the start of the 2021 season, Alexander has missed 26 games and played in 30.

Wyatt also suffered an ankle injury against Minnesota when he was rolled up on. Wyatt is not only No. 1 on the team in sacks, but ranks first in tackles for loss (6.0) and quarterback hits (5.0).
