Highlights! Alex Pereira slices up Khalil Rountree Jr. for bloody TKO finish | UFC 307

by · MMAmania.com

Alex Pereira delivered yet again last night (Sat., Oct. 5, 2024) at UFC 307 live on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, as “Poatan” absolutely battered Khalil Rountree Jr. with a blistering (and very bloody) fourth-round TKO finish.

Despite his underdog tag, Rountree came out as calm as can be. Pereira peppered him with nasty leg kicks, but “War Horse” kept plodding forward and forced the light heavyweight champion into a dog fight. Pereira, who is no stranger to unfiltered violence, was happy to oblige.

Outside of a brief Rountree knockdown in the second round, Pereira’s power was enough for him to pull ahead. The more the fight lasted the more it favored “Poatan.” That’s because Rountree has never fought five rounds before and it was Pereira who was riding in the driver’s seat.

Pereira put all of his tools to use in the fourth round as he absolutely butchered Rountree with left hooks, combinations to the body, and knees in the clinch. Rountree was so tough and somehow kept his footing. His face was all cut up and barely recognizable. A few hard body punches eventually sat Rountree down and the referee finally stepped in.
