Big boy boxing! Big, meaty men, slapping meat! And some other titles being contested on the undercard, but that’s not why we’re here (unless you’re perhaps related to one of the fellas fighting and plan on chiming in during the matches).

Welcome to MMAmania.com! Pull up a chair and join us today (Sat., Sept. 21, 2024), live from OVO Wembley Arena in London, England, for the biggest Heavyweight boxing matchup of this fall season: Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois for IBF’s Heavyweight title, streaming on DAZN PPV and PPV.com (click here to purchase).

The card starts at a crisp 11 a.m. ET / 4 p.m. U.K. The pair are expected to walk into the ring the ring around 5:30 p.m. ET.

This is Joshua’s (28-3, 25 KO) first championship bout since a pair of losses to pound-for-pound great Oleksandr Usyk back to back two and three years ago. Since then, he’s been on a 4-fight win streak as he’s built himself back up, knocking out Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou (watch here) and dominating Jermaine Franklin to a decision.

Meanwhile, opponent and fellow Brit, Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KO), is on a two-fight win streak of his own, also since a loss to Usyk, having knocked out both Filip Hrgovic and Jarrell Miller.

The other main fight on the card is the Super Featherweight (Junior Lightweight) title bout between Anthony Cacace and Josh Warrington. Cacace is attempting to make his first defense of his IBF belt as well as his third defense of his (admittedly less prestigious) IBO strap. Warrington is looking to become the first three-time IBF SF champion in the belt’s history, having won it previously in 2018 and 2022.

Anthony Cacace (c) vs. Josh Warrington for the IBF and IBO Super Featherweight titles

Round 1: Cacace in black and red, Warrington in blue and white. Couple jabs from both men. Warrington lands a right. Both men bouncing punches off each other’s guards. Grazing left by Cacace. Another left, but better.

10-9 Cacace

Round 2: Warrington getting to the body. Cacace with a long left. Cacace hits a counter. Now Warrington has his turn to do the same. Nice uppercut by Warrington near the end of the round there. Cacace looked like that stung him a bit.

10-9 Warrington

Round 3: Warrington with a straight left. Cacace sneaks a right hand behind Warrington’s guard. Warrington doing good body work. Cacace with a snapping jab.

10-9 Warrington

Round 4: Warrington on the front foot. There’s a couple shots to the body. Cacace fires off a nice hook. Warrington is a bit dazed and clinches to stay safe. Warrington holding on here as he looks to regain his legs. Warrington clips a right, and another. Cacace jabs, evades the counter and lands a thumping uppercut. Warrington hurt again, but comes out firing. He circles off and gets in a right hand

10-9 Cacace

Round 5: Ref gives them both getting a warning as they both bend the rules a bit in the clinch. Nice three punch combo by Cacace. More right hands by the champ. There’s a jab. Cacace cracks in a left hook, but Warrington ate that one a bit easier.

10-9 Cacace

Round 6: Cacace is on the front foot now and he looks the bully on Warrington. Left hook from Cacace. Warrington with a pair of left hands to the guts. Warrington consistent with those body hooks, and one sneaks through every once in a while. Ref barking at them and Cacace earns a warning for punching on the break.

10-9 Cacace

Round 7: Cacace jabbing. Warrington mirrors one back. Cacace complains about a low blow, but we fight on. Not too much happening this round as Warrington is trying to smother the power blows of Cacace. Cacace thumping away, mostly hitting guard, but it’s more than Warrington this round.

10-9 Cacace

Round 8: Warrington just isn’t able to find a good range for himself (there might not be one, to be fair). Finally he gets in a left upstairs. Cacace tries to the torso. They trade decent left hands. Cacace backs up Warrington to the ropes and flurries to the end of the round.

10-9 Cacace

Round 9: Cacace ripping to the breadbasket. Warrington whiffs a big left. Left to the head for Cacace, one to the body in response. Cacace lands two nice right hands. Warrington not winning, but toughing it out against the bigger man here.

10-9 Cacace

Round 10: Fast right hand for the Irishman. Cacace seems OK with just keeping Warrington at Bay. The Brit finally receives a warning for the punching to the back of the head. Warrington gets out of a clinch, lands a pair of body shots. Cacace uppercut makes Warrington’s head turn into a Pez dispenser.

10-9 Cacace

Round 11: Cacace really likes his uppercut tonight, and it’s done yeoman’s work for him. Warrington to the back of the head again. Both men have slipped a bit in center ring tonight. Right hands sneaks through for Cacace. A second one. Solid shot to the ribs from Warrington. Triple jab by Cacace

10-9 Cacace

Round 12: Warrington with a leaping left. Cacace in cruise control at this point. Warrington fires off a few shots as Cacace appears to slip again. Warrington finds a home for a left hand up to the face. Cacace a bit on his bike now. He does land a right on the break that might’ve sent Warrington to the canvas, but the ref rules it a slip. Two shots get through by Warrington.

10-9 Warrington

Final result: Anthony Cacace defeats Josh Warrington
