Georgia wide receiver Colbie Young was arrested Tuesday morning on misdemeanor charges of battery and assault on an unborn child. Young was booked by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department at 4:18 a.m. ET and is being held on a $2,500 bond for the assault charge.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Young is in his first season with the Bulldogs after transferring in from Miami. He is currently fourth on the team with 11 catches for 149 yards and tied for second with two touchdowns receiving.

After a quiet start to the season, Young did have at least 50 yards receiving in each of Georgia's past two games, including a season-high 57 yards in the Week 5 loss against Alabama. Young has also logged six of his 11 catches in the past two weeks.

Prior to entering the transfer portal, Young spent two seasons at Miami. He had 939 total yards -- 563 during the 2023 season -- and 10 touchdowns with the Hurricanes, catching five scores each from 2022-23. He averaged just under 12 yards per catch.

Young signed with Miami in 2022 as a three-star junior college prospect out of Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pennsylvania
