Fun-loving Cristiano Ronaldo has been spotted living it up at a top Scottish hotel as he proved he's just a big kid at heart.

The 39-year-old showed off his child-like exuberance for the flumes and pool at Cameron House – as he keeps it casual before his first ever game at Hampden during his storied career. And the Loch Lomond resort is familiar surroundings to Ronaldo, who stayed there before both Champions League games against Celtic in 2006 and 2008. Fans on social media loved it, with one commenting Ronaldo is just a "big wean at heart".

At the time, Ronaldo remarked on the beauty of the surroundings but it was all about making a splash on Sunday night as he careered down the flumes and into the pool. Ronaldo had a blast and appeared fresh and firing before Tuesday's big Nations League clash with Scotland. Ronaldo was subbed off in Saturday night's 3-1 win over Poland but boss Roberto Martinez insists it's all part of his plan. "The substitution was important because it’s part of us managing the players.

"We have two games in 72 hours. So we took Cristiano off so he would be ready for the second game in Scotland. Diogo Jota came on for him and did very well. It’s important to use the players we have on the bench. Cristiano is in perfect shape for our next game."
