Jimmy Thelin insists Aberdeen are staying humble and reveals the one thing dressing room DOESN'T discuss

The Dons maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with a 2-1 victory at Dens Park

Aberdeen's 100% start is a major talking point in Scottish football but Jimmy Thelin has stated that it isn't being discussed by him or his team.

The Dons made it 12 wins out of 12 as they won 2-1 at Dundee, thanks to goals from Kevin Nisbet and Topi Keskinen. The Reds have won six games in the Premiership and the cup but Thelin knows there is still a long way to go and his team has achieved nothing yet. Thelin stated: “We know the league stops in May.

"There is a long way to go and we are staying humble and looking to improve and grow as a team. “I am happy with the start but we all know in football we have to keep our feet on the ground and take it everyday in training and game-by-game. We don’t talk about it inside the locker room and the club.

“We talk about game-by-game and training by training. That is our focus and why we have taken three points. “I am really proud of the Aberdeen players and the fans and how we took the challenge and stuck together to the end.”

Aberdeen got the win as Keskinen set-up Nisbet and then netted what ended up being the winner. Thelin was pleased with his flying Finn and added:“His strength going forward but also how he defends.

“In the second half, he was running 40 to 60 metres at times. “The most important thing is that they are competitive in both directions, not just one direction.

“Tony (Docherty) is a good coach and he has a real identity of how he wants to play. The second half they were really strong and came again and again. ”You have to respect their effort."
