Mystified Kris Boyd has raised an eyebrow after Nicolas Kuhn avoided a second yellow card amid the madcap Celtic celebrations at Ross County.

The winger made himself the hero in the Highlands and keep the Scottish Premiership leaders perfect start to the campaign going. After Alistair Johnston deflected the ball into the net to cancel out Ronan Hale's opener from the penalty spot, the German curled the ball into the far corner before rushing into the away end to celebrate with the fans in wild scenes.

Asked about the emotion of the moment and if he was thinking about the booking, Kuhn said: "I didn't even know I had a booking. I don't know what it was for. I didn't think I did something."

Fellow pundit James McFadden pointed to the geography of the stadium as the real issue with the celebration: "I know it's the rules, but it's very hard when it's three or four yards to stop yourself and go 'I'm not gonna celebrate'." Boyd wasn't satisfied, bluntly answering: "Alright..."
