St Mirren are looking to go into the international break on the back of three wins, says Scott Tanser.
The wing-back scored a wonder goal at the SMiSA Stadium on Wednesday night against St Johnstone.
It was a win that the Buddies really needed after they went on a run of four defeats with their last three points coming at home against Hearts in September.
However, a brave and resilient display at Ibrox seems to have kickstarted the St Mirren of old. Tanser admits that, going into the international break after their game against Hibernian next week, three wins in a row is the aim.
“It has been a tough one for us so this win came at a good time,” the 30-year-old said ahead of Saturday's Premiership visit of Ross County. “Hopefully we look to kick on and get back-to-back wins and then go into Hibs and get another one before the international break.
“That will set up a busy December. People said that we had been missing that the last few weeks. Performances hadn’t been what we expect but we never got away from what we actually are.

“We had a discussion as a team and we said that we needed to get back to where we are going and need the performances now. It started against Rangers, really good but didn’t get the result which we deserved.
“But we took the game to them and were brave and then we said that the next game against St Johnstone we would carry on as we were and that is exactly what we did.”
The Englishman is currently the only available left full-back due to Jaden Brown being unavailable for this weekend’s fixture.
On Wednesday night, Tanser’s goal against the Perth Saints was his first of the league campaign as he got his side level on the half hour mark. It was a strike that he was able to watch all the way, as he admitted how he had the best seat in the house to see it fly into the top corner.
He said: “Last time I scored I went on to score and assist again so hopefully it is a continuation now. I go through little spells of scoring sometimes.
“There is something about playing St Johnstone where opportunities were created and we should have scored a couple more. When it came to me I looked up and thought ‘I will take this one’ and I was confident I was going to score as well.
“As soon as I hit it I took a seat, watched it glide in, and went off celebrating. I lost my footing, and maybe that helped it go on in, and it was what we needed after going a goal down.
“It kicked us into shape and carried on the performance in the game and then we went on to dominate the game.”
