Emotional Luis Palma has paid tribute to his grandmother Luis Antonia Mendoza following her passing.
The 24-year-old took to social media with a heartfelt message about the woman he has previously claimed was the first to ever give him a football. Despite having a mixed campaign so far this term, the 16-time Honduras cap is a superstar in his homeland having claimed silverware with Celtic and made his mark in the Champions League.
She had previously said she was "satisfied" with his rise from Central America to success in the European game after helping to raise Palma. The winger started in midweek during the win over Dundee and will be looking to make another appearance for the Scottish Premiership champions in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final clash with Aberdeen.
Before the game at Hampden, Palma shared a series of touching images of him and his grandmother to Instagram: "You left and you took my heart with you, Grandma.
"I thank God for lending you all these 87 years of life, where you gave me the life that any grandchild and human would have wanted. I love you and I will always love you. I hope to see you soon in heaven."
