Two St Mirren players will be unavailable for the club’s latest Premiership fixture on Saturday.
The Paisley club confirmed in statements that striker Kevin Van Veen and full-back Jaden Brown will not be selected for their game against Ross County.
Brown appeared at Paisley Sherriff Court on Thursday where he admitted to three motoring offences when he was twice caught driving while banned and driving without insurance.
Van Veen appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court the same day after being accused of domestic abuse. Club statements were released on Friday morning following their hearings.
In regards to Brown, the club said: “St Mirren Football Club was aware of Jaden Brown’s court appearance yesterday (Thursday, October 31).
“Given the findings of the court, the club requires to further its own ongoing investigation into the player’s actions. Jaden will not be available for Saturday’s match. We shall make no further comment at this point.”

A separate statement was also issued regarding Van Veen which said: “St Mirren Football Club is aware of a court appearance and ongoing criminal investigation into Kevin van Veen.
“The club will conduct its own investigation into this matter and Kevin will not be available for Saturday’s match. We will make no further comment during this process.”
At a press conference held at the club’s Ralston training ground ahead of St Mirren’s match with County, manager Stephen Robinson said that he couldn’t speak about the incidents.
He said: “The club have made a statement and I’m not allowed to comment any further. Both are live legal cases so there’s nothing I can really add to that.
“I concentrate solely on being a football manager and making football decisions so that’s as much as I’m able and want to say at this moment in time.”
