The much-awaited teaser of the highly-anticipated Squid Game: Season 2 was released today, September 20. The teaser begins directly after the conclusion of Season 1, where Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), having abandoned his plans to immigrate to the US, is now engaged in a perilous pursuit driven by a newly discovered purpose.

In the brief teaser, Lee Jung-jae's character (Player 456) reappears in his distinctive uniform amidst a throng of fresh contestants. A substantial cash prize (456 Billion Won) awaits them once more, and a glimpse into the upcoming games is provided. It ends with a dynamic action sequence, with Gi-hun in his signature green tracksuit, ready for a new chapter.

The teaser was shared by Netflix and captioned, "The game never stops. Are you ready to play? SQUID GAME SEASON 2 arrives December 26 (sic)."

The second season of the popular Korean series features the return of Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo as survivors of the deadly elimination game. The tagline, 'The Game will Not Stop,' hints at new developments and heightened stakes.

Besides them, joining the cast of Squid Game: Season 2 are Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yuri, and Won Ji.

Squid Game: Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on December 26.
