The Indian dugout was in splits after Rohit Sharma was caught hitting Shubman Gill on his jaw playfully during the Chennai Test match. Kohli, Rohit and Shubman shared a light moment as India dominated Bangladesh on Day 2 in Chennai.

Senior India batter Virat Kohli was left in splits in the dressing room after Rohit Sharma hit Shubman Gill playfully on the jaw. The whole incident was caught on camera where Rohit, Shubman, Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were sitting in the dressing room.

Rohit extended his left arm and lightly hit Gill on the jaw. Gill was taken aback but took the tap like a sport. Kohli watching this reminded Rohit that they were on camera and that's when everyone started laughing at the whole thing.

India captain Rohit Sharma has been candid with the rest of the Indian team, especially the juniors since taking over from Virat Kohli. Under the tenure of Rohit, youngsters have been backed by the management and the selectors. Rohit's playful attitude and calm demeanour has helped the team thrive. Sharma's team is looking to maintain their strong run in Test cricket hoping to reach the third World Test Championship final in a row. In the 2023 final, India dominated home and away Tests but lost in the final against Pat Cummins' Australia.

Currently in the Test match against Bangladesh, India are firmly in command with a 308-run lead at the end of Day 2. The Indian team dominated the visitors with the ball, bowling them out for just 149 runs in the first innings. India were 81/3 at the end of the day's play with Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill in the crease.
