  • The left-arm pacer has been in fine form for India in the shortest format
  • Hardik Pandya rises four spots to No. 3 in all-rounder rankings

Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh was rewarded for his sensational start to the T20I series against Bangladesh. The Indian pacer has broken into the top 10 of the ICC Twenty20 International cricket rankings for the first time in his career. Arshdeep rose from No. 16 to No. 8 in the bowling charts, updated on Wednesday, October 09.

Arshdeep Singh's previous best ranking was No. 13, but a solid show in Gwalior on Sunday, October 6 has helped him achieve his career-best position in the T20I bowling charts.

Arshdeep is the lone Indian in the top 10 of ICC T20I Rankings for men's bowlers. England's Adil Rashid is placed comfortably at the top followed by West Indies's Akeal Hosein. Ravi Bishnoi, who was not picked for the first T20I in Gwalior, slipped a place to No. 12 in the latest rankings.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya has risen four spots to return to the top three in the ICC T20I rankings for men's all-rounders. England's Liam Livingstone continues to top the all-rounder rankings with 253 rating points. Hardik Pandya had been ranked No. 1 in the all-rounder charts after he played a crucial role in India's T20 World Cup triumph in June. Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee is at the second spot.

No other Indian player is ranked in the top 10 in the all-rounder's list with Axar Patel taking up the 11th spot.

Arshdeep Singh played a starring role in India's seven-wicket win over Bangladesh. The left-arm pacer picked three wickets, conceding just 14 runs in 3.5 overs. The Punjab Kings star was instrumental in denting Bangladesh's start with wickets of Litton Das and Parvez Emon on Sunday. He won the Player of the Match award for his defining spell of bowling.

On the other hand, Hardik Pandya picked up a wicket and hit a 16-ball 39, which included the viral no-look shot. Hardik has continued to impress for India in the shortest format of the game.
