Rishabh Pant's audacious six off Hasan Mahmud leaves Virat Kohli stunned

Virat Kohli was left stunned as Rishabh Pant pulled off an audacious six off Hasan Mahumd on Day 3 of the Chennai Test. Pant was back to his vintage best as India piled on the misery on Bangladesh.

Rishabh Pant left Virat Kohli stunned on Saturday, September 21 as he hit an audacious six off Hasan Mahmud on Day 3 of the Chennai Test. Pant was at his brilliant best on Saturday as the wicketkeeper-batter played a controlled innings. Pant would hit his third-slowest fifty of his Test career on Saturday as he got to the landmark in 88 balls.

Once that was done, Pant quickly switched gears as he started to take on the bowlers. The wicketkeeper-batter started to take a liking to the spinners as the fielders were kept by Bangladesh on the boundary. However, Pant went on to play his shots regardless, with one of the best coming in the last ball of the 48th over. Pant would take on Mahmud and he played a ramp shot off the pacer, who had picked up 5 wickets in the first innings.

This would leave the dressing room stunned and Kohli was pictured having a laugh.

Vintage Pant back on show in Chennai

The shot off Mahmud was one of the instances where we got to see the vintage Pant back in action. In the first ball of the 40th over, Pant would hit his iconic one-handed six off Mehidy Hasan's bowling. This got the fans at Chepauk on their feet.

Pant was also part of a humorous moment during Day 3 of the first Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, when he was spotted helping Bangladesh set their field while batting. Caught on the stump mic between overs, Pant was heard suggesting, "one fielder here," pointing towards mid-wicket. In a lighthearted twist, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto took Pant’s advice and moved the fielder to the suggested position.

Pant would score his 12th Test fifty on Saturday.
