India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah does not recommend his unconventional bowling action to children. Reacting to the news that many kids have started to copy his bowling action across the world, Bumrah said that he also fell in love with cricket after watching fast bowling, but he does not want children to copy his action, which is known to be injury prone action.

Concerns existed about Bumrah's action since he burst onto the international scene. The fast bowler got injured in 2022 and took nearly a year to return back to professional cricket. The fast bowler has been brilliant since in all formats of the game, and even on Friday, 20 September, Bumrah was the chief destructor against the Bangladesh batting line-up picking up 4 wickets.

After the end of day's play the fast bowler was told that he serves as an inspiration for the younger generation. Bumrah replied that he was happy to create an impact wherever he could.

"I don't know how to react to that. But you know, when I was a kid, I used to. I was a fan of fast bowling. I learned through watching the television. I fell in love with the sport by that. Now, sometimes when I see children trying to copy my action, I don't recommend it. But you know, sometimes it is what it is. You get inspired by something and you try and find your own way. I'm very happy to create an impact whenever I can," Jasprit Bumrah told the broadcaster.

Recently a video of a young girl emulating Bumrah's action had gone viral on social media.

"I try to give my absolute best. Other than that, whatever is the narrative. I don't control the narrative. I don't go too high with the praises. I don't go too low, you know when challenges come my way. So I try to focus on what I can do, and I try to give my absolute best. I wanted to play for India, and he's (Parthiv Patel) seen my journey and you know how hard we work as a group. So playing for India. No complaints. And I want to give my best for as long as I can," he further added.
