Richa turned 21 on September 29, Sunday and the whole team gathered to celebrate the birthday girl. The explosive batter was smeared with chocolate cake as the Indian women's team cheerfully sang the birthday song saying, "Happy Birthday Richu."

Not just that, the squad had a little tea party, despite the heat in Dubai. Richa revealed that Smriti Mandhan poured her a cup of tea by herself. In fact, Richa enquired if she could have fun on her special day. As a senior member of the team, Mandhana was chilled and kind enough to agree to her notorious demand. The entire team enjoyed a little tea break as such moments showcased the kind of bonding that exists among the players.

"I am not saying much because its your birthday," Mandhana said.

"Today I can have fun then," Richa asked jokily.

"Do whatever you want," Mandhana responded.

India gears up for Women's T20 World Cup

India's chances of making it to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup final last year were dashed by an unfortunate moment involving Harmanpreet Kaur's bat getting stuck in the turf. That semi-final heartbreak against Australia in Cape Town is still fresh in the minds of the team, serving as extra motivation for this tournament.

Despite a recent setback in the Asia Cup Final against Sri Lanka, Harmanpreet's squad remains a strong contender for the title. Their preparations have been meticulous, with fitness and skills-based camps designed to refine their game. This approach shows they have faith in their lineup and are aiming to iron out any weaknesses.

India's top six batters stand out as a major strength, having delivered solid performances in the build-up to the tournament. Their bowling unit, particularly the spinners, could also play a key role in the UAE's conditions, making the team well-rounded and capable of challenging any opposition.
