According to The Independent, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has requested "forensic cases" on all scenarios about the coach's future.

Ratcliffe and chief executive Omar Berrada, sporting director Dan Ashworth, technical director Jason Wilcox and director Sir Dave Brailsford discussed what comes next if they fire Ten Hag.

The report adds that Tomas Tuchel was discussed as a possible replacement if they move on from the former Ajax coach.

Some advocated for a change now, but others felt it was too early and that a change could cause some disruption.

Tuchel has been mentioned in England as a potential successor, but the club are yet to release a statement. The Red Devils face Brentford in the Premier League after the international break.
