Liam Gallagher played his last solo gig on Sunday ahead of Oasis' reunion next summer. The 52-year-old bid farewell to his band ahead of the final song of their gig at the Liam Gallagher And Friends Malta Weekender.

He confirmed that “this is going to be our last show for a bit, massive respect,” with Rolling Stone also reporting that he praised “the beautiful girls,” referring to his three backing singers.

The gig came the day after Gallagher performed ahead of the Anthony Joshua v Daniel Dubois fight at Wembley Stadium, with a number of people taking to social media to criticise his performance afterwards.

Gallagher said “imposters” are not welcome at the Oasis reunion concerts next year as he hit back at critics online. In a post to X, he said: “You ain’t real fans you’re just IMPOSTERS and if you do have tickets you wanna get rid off I’ll gladly take them off your hands we don’t want the likes of you at our concerts next year any way.”

The singer also posted a painting of a bird next to a message that said: “You will not stop me from singing my song. I will sing it forever.”

Joshua’s career rebuild suffered a devastating setback after he collapsed to a brutal fifth-round knockout by Dubois on Saturday night.

Fighting with the aim of setting up a clash with the winner of Tyson Fury’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in December, Joshua was instead dominated from start to finish and was floored four times.

Dubois spoke of his determination to “legitimise” his reign as IBF champion after being given the belt which Usyk vacated in June and he did exactly that with a destructive display.

Gallagher sang Oasis classics Definitely Maybe, Rock ‘n’ Roll Star, Supersonic and Cigarettes & Alcohol at Wembley, where Oasis will play seven gigs next year.
