Callum Walsh vowed to take over the world after landing the tenth knockout win of his career against Poland's Przemyslaw Runowski on Friday night.

In front of an incredibly vocal 3Arena crowd, the Cobh man, who is trained by the legendary Freddie Roach, moved to 12-0 as he successfully defended his WBC Continental Americas Super Welterweight title for the second time with a second round KO.

Backed by UFC CEO Dana White, who was ringside after jetting in from America during the week, the 23-year-old was in control from the first bell as he sent Runowski backwards a minute into the bout with a left and stunned him with another right at the end of the first round.

Runowski had never been stopped in 25 previous fights, but a left from Hollywood-based southpaw sent him down with just over a minute left in the second and he couldn't get back up in time

The locals had plenty to cheer as a big boxing show returned to the 3Arena for the first time since Katie Taylor's win over Chantelle Cameron last November, with four Dublin fighters winning on the card.

Thomas Carty and Emmet Brennan were both successful on that night 10 months ago and they were celebrating again on Friday, with victories over Jonathan Vergara and Kevin Cronin respectively, although the latter was controversial.

Heavyweight Carty vowed to deliver an emphatic knockout and he did exactly that, stopping his Argentine opponent with one second remaining in the second round.

The 28-year-old knocked Vergara down twice with powerful body shots and when he sent him down for a third time with a left to the head, his opponent couldn't get back up.

We've been used to titanic Dublin v Kerry contests at this time of the year and Brennan and Cronin clashed in another under three kilometres from Croke Park for the Super Middleweight Celtic title.

Cronin, who came into the bout with a record of 8-1-1, started the better of the two, but the Tokyo Olympian appeared to land cleaner shots as it went on and was declared the winner via split-decision after two judges scored it 78-75 and 78-74 in his favour, while the other had it 78-74 to Cronin, who was furious with the result.

Brennan, who moved to 4-0, will now target a fight in Madison Square Garden, where he could be a support act to Walsh in the coming months.

Another Dub, Craig O'Brien battled hard against Edward Donovan, the younger brother of welterweight star Paddy, to claim the Super Welterweight Celtic title with a split-decision win as the judges scored the bout 58-57 Donovan, 58-56 O'Brien and 58-56 O'Brien. The 34-year-old suggested afterwards that he would love to face Walsh next.

Earlier on the card, Shauna O'Keeffe took her professional record to 3-0 in devastating fashion as she stopped Iceland's Valgerdur Gudsteinsdottir.

The Clonmel lightweight travelled to America to spar with Katie Taylor since her last win back in March and put in a performance the undisputed champion would have been proud of.

O'Keeffe felt out her opponent in the opening round before letting her hands go in the second, badly bursting the nose of Gudsteinsdottir before a clash of heads cut her forehead badly.

The onslaught continued in the third and it looked like it was going to be stopped between rounds, but after the blood was cleared from Gudsteinsdottir's face, she was allowed to continue.

O'Keeffe drew blood from the forehead cut once again with a punch in the fourth and as the clock ticked down, Gudsteinsdottir's corner called for the fight to be stopped.

Meanwhile, Gareth Dowling made the perfect start to his professional career as he stopped Polish opponent Daniel Nowak nine seconds into the second round of their super welterweight bout after knocking him down three times in the first.
