Huge boost for Cuala as Dublin star free to face Naas as red card rescinded
by Karl O'Kane · Irish MirrorCon O’Callaghan’s County Final red card has been rescinded and the Dublin star is free to line out for Cuala in Saturday night’s Leinster opener against Naas.
The news is a huge boost to the first time Dublin champions as they bid to make an impact in Leinster.
Cuala start out against the four-in-a-row Kildare winners at St. Conleth’s Park in a game which will be shown live on RTE.
O’Callaghan (28) was shown a straight red card with 10 minutes to go in the County Final encounter with Kilmacud Crokes.

The card came after an off the ball incident following Luke Ward’s goal for Kilmacud Crokes.
A video surfaced on social media from the other end of the pitch with two Kilmacud players celebrating the goal in front of six-time All-Ireland winner, O’Callaghan.
O’Callaghan appears to brush off Kilmacud goalkeeper Devon Burns, with the former Kerry underage player hitting the deck, before the Dublin forward is sent off after the referee consults with his umpires.
Video evidence was used to clear O’Callaghan, who holds two All-Ireland club hurling medals with Cuala and is a three-time football All Star.
