Ladies GAA All Star nominations named as All-Ireland champions Kerry lead the way

Kerry won a first All-Ireland title since 1993 with a string of impressive performances and are rewarded for a sterling season.

A whopping 15 players from All-Ireland champions Kerry have been nominated for TG4 All Star awards.

The Kingdom, who won the Brendan Martin Cup at Croke Park back in August, bridging a 31 year gap, make up one-third of the 45-player strong list.

Runners-up Galway have nine players nominated, while National League Division 1 champions Armagh have eight.

Dublin are next with five players listed and Cork have four, while players from Meath, Kildare, Tipperary and Waterford have also been included by the LGFA’s All-Star committee.

Six of last year’s All Star team are nominated again: Eilís Lynch, Niamh Carmody and Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh (all Kerry), as well as Dublin trio Leah Caffrey, Jennifer Dunne and Carla Rowe.

ZuCar Golden Glove Award winning goalkeeper Ciara Butler (Kerry) is also nominated.

The 2024 TG4 All-Star team will be announced at a gala banquet at The Bonnington Dublin Hotel on Saturday, November 16.

The Junior, Intermediate and Senior Players’ Player of the Year Award winners will also be revealed on the night, while the 2024 inductee into the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) Hall of Fame will be acknowledged.
