Ireland v Greece team news as Heimir Hallgrimsson looks for second straight win

by · Irish Mirror

Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson has named his team for tonight's clash with Greece in the UEFA Nations League.

After losing his first two games in charge, the new boss finally got off the mark in last Thursday's impressive come-from-behind win against Finland in Helsinki.

Robbie Brady was the hero that night with his last-gasp winner sending the 1,100 Irish fans in attendance wild, and he starts again in defence alongside Liam Scales, Dara O'Shea and Nathan Collins, with Caoimhin Kelleher remaining in goal.

Josh Cullen and Jason Knight are once again partnered in midfield, with Troy Parrott brought into the team in place of Finn Azaz in an attacking midfield role in Ireland's only change.

Chiedozie Ogbene and Sammie Szmodics are expected to line out on the wings, with Evan Ferguson leading the line again.

Ireland team to play Greece: Kelleher; O'Shea, Collins, Scales, Brady; Cullen, Knight; Ogbene, Parrott, Szmodics; Ferguson.
