Liverpool have ‘officially registered their interest’ in player – ‘Considering an offensive’ for transfer

Liverpool have ‘officially registered their interest’ with Omar Marmoush’s advisors as he continues to shine for Eintracht Frankfurt.

That’s according to SportBILD, who say Marmoush’s achievements are attracting more and more international attention.

Marmoush has picked up where he left off last season for Frankfurt, with 11 goals and seven assists in 13 games in all competitions so far after 17 and six in 41 games last season.

He is now regularly being linked with a move away in the coming months, with Liverpool pushed to the front of the queue regularly across this month.

A report last week stated that Marmoush would immediately agree to join Liverpool if they offered him the chance and was followed by another claiming that they’ve already spoken to him.

SportBILD back that up, reporting that Liverpool have now ‘officially registered their interest’ with the player and his advisors.

According to them they already had the 25-year-old on their list in the summer transfer window but due to numerous options in their forward line, decided against a move. Mo Salah staying at the club also meant a deal was not required.

However, if the Egyptian star does not extend his expiring contract at Anfield, the club is ‘considering an offensive’ for Marmoush.

He’ll prove to be a costly target as his current contract, which runs until 2027, doesn’t include a release clause. He’s currently valued at €40m but if he keeps scoring, that price will only increase.

For now, interest has simply been registered with the player and his advisors, but it is a situation to keep an eye on moving forwards.
