NT manager ‘clear he needs’ Celtic player – To recall him despite struggles with Brendan Rodgers’ side

Celtic’s Luis Palma wasn’t part of the Honduras squad for October’s international break. Brendan Rodgers had limited him to 37 minutes of action in the league until then.

On October 5th, El Heraldo reported the winger had discussed with Honduras manager Reinaldo Rueda to leave him out of the squad last month. This was done with a view to improve his situation at Celtic.

During the last international break, he scored a hat-trick for Celtic in a friendly tie. Since then, Palma has made three appearances for the Scottish club and made his first league start against Dundee.

According to Diez in Honduras, the Celtic player will return to the national team squad for the upcoming international break.

La Bicolor will face Mexico twice in the Concacaf Nations League later this month. Rueda is ‘clear that he needs’ his best players and the 24-year-old falls into this category.

This is despite Plama’s struggles at Celtic Park, where he’s currently ‘not having a good time’. The attacker is yet to find a regular place under Brendan Rodgers, but that won’t stop him from making it to Honduras squad.

It’s claimed Rueda is ‘confident that he can contribute a lot’ against Mexico amid struggles at the club. He has a different stance when compared to the one maintained by the Celtic manager so far with Palma.
