by · ChronicleLive

Arsenal may face a shortage of key players due to injuries when they travel to face Newcastle United in a a few weeks. The Gunners head to St James' Park for a Premier League clash on Saturday, November 2.

While Eddie Howe is hoping for some positive news after the international break, with Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson close to a return, and young midfielder Lewis Miley also on the comeback trail, the Magpies will definitely be without Sven Botman, Kieran Trippier and Jamaal Lascelles when the action resumes against Brighton next weekend.

However, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are already sweating on several key players over the break. Bukayo Saka sustained an injury during England's loss to Greece on Thursday night. The forward was substituted just 50 minutes into the match, and interim Three Lions manager Lee Carsley confirmed that Saka's condition would be evaluated in the next few days.

Arsenal now anxiously await news on whether Saka will need time off to recover from his injury. The England international isn't the only fitness worry for the Gunners who face Bournemouth after the international break and then title rivals Liverpool.

Martin Odegaard continues to be out of action due to an ankle injury he picked up during the September international break. The Gunners have not provided a specific timeline for their club captain's return, leaving it uncertain whether he will be fit to resume action.

Arsenal also received worrying news about Kai Havertz this week, as the striker was pulled from the Germany squad due to a knee injury. Ben White has been absent from the last three matches for the Gunners due to a groin injury, while Jurrien Timber sat out their most recent game against Southampton due to a knock. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney are also currently on the sidelines.
