Matt Dawson finds love again after wife of 11 years

Matt Dawson has found love again after splitting from his wife of 11 years.

The former England rugby ace and A Question Of Sport star, 51, called it quits with his ex-wife Carolin Hauskeller, 38, four years ago.

But now things are looking up for the star as he moves on with personal trainer and content creator Elizabeth Kerry.

Elizabeth, 43, has over 11,000 followers on Instagram and often posts snaps of her sizzling workout.

Her bio reads: 'There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.'

 It's unknown when the pair started dating but Matt first posted with Elizabeh in 2022.

Matt married ex-wife Carolin - a former model turned marketing manager - back in 2011.

However, they decided to end their marriage in September 2002, after admitting their relationship had taken a 'different path'.

Announcing their split, Matt wrote on social media: 'We know this will be a surprise to most but after 11 years together Carolin and I have decided our relationship needs a new direction, bringing our marriage to an end. 

'The love for our beautiful boys grows stronger day by day as does our friendship as co-parents.

'To our dear friends please continue to support us as positively as you can for the next stage of our lives. 

'It's vital that Alex and Sami understand that we will always be a united family.'

Despite their split, the two have remained dedicated to their two sons - Alex, 11, and Sami, 10.

Matt, who was apart of England rugby's 2003 World Cup winning squad, and Carolin revealed in 2016 that they endured 'two weeks of hell' as their son battled meningitis.

Their son Sami underwent life-saving treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine in 2018, they revealed how they were told by medics to say goodbye to their son, as there was a real risk he would not survive.

Carolin said she coped with the prospect of losing her son by 'zoning out', and refusing to accept that he would not be coming home.

The former couple now work to raise awareness of meningitis symptoms among parents, after admitting they didn't know their son's fever coupled with cold hands and feet were warning signs.
