At least seven people were killed and many injured on Monday when a bus fell into a deep gorge in Uttarakhand's Almora district, a senior official said.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh for the next of kin and financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh for the injured

The Chief Minister has directed the Commissioner Kumaon Division to conduct a magisterial inquiry into the incident, the CMO said.
