ASJ Chander Jit Singh underscored he would first consider the issue of jurisdiction and whether or not to transfer the case to a special court meant to try lawmakers, considering Rashid was now an MP.

Engineer Rashid was granted interim bail on September 10, which was later extended till October 28 on the grounds of his father's health. 

The court reserved the bail order in a terror funding case against Rashid, said that he would first consider the issue of jurisdiction and if the case should be transferred to a special court meant to try lawmakers, considering the fact that Rashid is now an MP.
