The Karnataka High Court will pronounce its order on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's petition challenging the legality of Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot's nod for probe against him in the MUDA case on Tuesday.

The Karnataka High Court dismissed his petition, challenging the legality of the Governor's decision to prosecute him over alleged irregularities in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scheme.

The high court completed its hearing in the case on September 12, and reserved its orders, while extending its August 19 interim order directing the special court for people's representatives that was slated to hear complaints against him in the case, to defer its proceedings till the disposal of the petition.

Observing that the facts narrated undoubtedly require investigation in the teeth of the fact that the beneficiary of all these acts is not anybody outside, but the family members of Mr. Siddaramaiah, the court said that Governor’s order granting permission for investigation “does not suffer from any application of mind but there is abundance of application of mind...”
