Two migrant workers were injured when a gunman suspected to be militant opened fire at them on Friday evening, November 1.

Two persons from Uttar Pradesh were shot at by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district on Friday evening, officials said.

Jammu and Kashmir: Upon receiving the information, security forces reached the spot and a search operation for the terrorists was launched.

They have been identified as Sufiyan and Usman both from UP.

The labourers were identified as Usman Malik, son of Muhammad Julfan Malik and Sufiyan, 25, son of Muhammad Inaam Ilyas

While one of them was hit in his arm, the other was shot in his leg. The workers were immediately taken to a hospital for treatment, where they are stated to be in stable condition.

The injured migrant workers have been identified as Sofiyan and Usman, both residents of Uttar Pradesh.
