Just after midnight, the town's six registered voters gathered in the Tillotson Room at the Balsams Resort to cast the nation's first ballots on Election Day, continuing a 60-year tradition of being among the earliest to vote.

Voters in the US hamlet of Dixville Notch launched Election Day in the first minutes of Tuesday with a tied vote, mirroring the incredibly close national polls in the White House race.
