In response to Baba Siddique's murder, Pappu Yadav had openly challenged Lawrence Bishnoi, declaring that if allowed, he would dismantle the network of “a two-bit criminals like Lawrence Bishnoi” within 24 hours.

Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in Sabarmati jail of Ahmedabad, was paying Rs 1 lakh per hour to disable signal jammers.
