Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini won Ladwa assembly seat on Tuesday by a margin of 16,054 votes against Congress candidate Mewa Singh.

Nayab Singh Saini was brought in as Haryana Chief Minister around 200 days ahead of the Assembly election in the state. Saini, with his schemes won people's confidence, and helped the BJP create history in Haryana, beating 10 years of anti-incumbency.

According to the latest update on the Election Commission website, the BJP candidates are leading in 50 seats of the total 90 Assembly seats in Haryana. Congress is leading in 35 seats in the state.

Haryana Assembly election result 2024: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was leading from his Ladwa seta in Kurukshetra district, while Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda was ahead of his rivals in Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency in Rohtak district.

Speaking to India Today/ Aajtak, Nayab Singh Saini said that in the last ten years, the BJP has worked "honestly" for people of all sections of the state and the party will form the government in the state with a full majority.
