A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death allegedly by three of his friends in East Delhi's Shakarpur when he refused to give them a treat after buying a new phone, police said on Tuesday.

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death by three juveniles in Delhi's Shakarpur area after he refused to treat them for buying a new phone, police have said.

The suspects are all 16 years old and students of Class 9. The incident occurred in East Delhi on Monday, reportedly in full public view.

The locals told the police that the crime took place in full public view and the boy was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The teenager, who was returning home after buying a new phone, was stabbed by his friends after he refused to throw a celebratory party.
