Police say multiple gunmen fired on a group of people outside on a street in the city of Birmingham.

Two men and a woman were killed at the scene in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue near the University of Alabama, while a fourth victim died at the university's hospital, Birmingham Police said.

"Multiple shooters fired multiple shots" in a popular entertainment area, killing people on the streets and footpaths.
