Two Just Stop oil activists have been jailed after throwing soup over a Vincent van Gogh painting.

Two climate activists from Just Stop Oil who threw soup at Vincent van Gogh's Sunflowers painting in London's National Gallery have been jailed for criminal damage.

The pair came close to harming something that was "probably priceless in a literal sense", judge says.

“The action you took was extreme, disproportionate and criminally idiotic,” said the judge.
