Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway at Burnley after 3.30pm on Wednesday following reports of a serious collision involving a Seat Ibiza

Two cars were involved in the collision at the junction of Mere Lane and Copston Lane

Five ambulances raced to the scene of the serious collision on the M65 motorway near Burnley in Lancashire after the emergency services were called at about 3.30am this morning.

Surrey Police said officers were called to the M3 at around 5.25pm on Friday (1 October)

The woman was tragically pronounced dead at the scene
