A controversy has erupted over the age of Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren with the BJP questioning the discrepancy in the age mentioned in Soren's affidavit. While the CM's age was shown as 41 in the 2019 election nomination affidavit, it was mentioned as listed as 49 in the 2024 affidavit.

BJP's Barhait nominee Gamliyel Hembrom alleged on October 30, that the Jharkhand Chief Minister mentioned 42 years as his age in the affidavit filed in 2019, but 49 years in 2024.

As per the seat-sharing agreement, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will contest 43 seats, Congress on 96 and RJD on six, while the left parties have got seats in assembly polls.
