Islamabad, Pakistan: The Parliamentary Committee has approved the Constitutional amendment package. The committee is headed by veteran politician Khursheed Shah of the Pakistan People’s Party.   The hurried push by PMLN made the Constitutional amendment package controversial, but PPP bailed the government out when it took the initiative to contact all parties, including PTI. Now, the package will be submitted to the Cabinet for approval and then would be tabled in both houses of parliament. Addressing a press conference after the approval of the package, Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto politely said that the ruling party’s mishandling of the constitutional amendments ignited the disapproval of the packages by many parties including JUI (F) and added that ‘unnecessary actions’ were taken by the government when PPP was negotiating with other political parties.
