Two people killed in house fire in early hours of this morning

Two people have been confirmed dead in a house fire which erupted in the early hours of this morning.

The blaze took hold at an address on The Coppice in Stoke Aldermoor, Coventry.

The bodies were found following the fire, which broke out on the residential road at around 4.50am.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Sadly, two people were confirmed dead at the scene and we are now working to identify them.

“Our officers are liaising closely with West Midlands Fire Service, who are working to identify the cause of the fire.”
