Channel 4 star Kirstie Allsopp set to receive huge sum after father's death

After settling his bills, the amount was reduced to £6,080,843. Initially, he intended to leave everything to his wife Fiona Lady Hindlip, but following her earlier demise, his four children are now set to share his wealth.
Channel 4 Location, Location, Location star Kirstie is expected to receive a hefty £1.5m portion of her father's estate. Born at Haslbech Hall in Northamptonshire, Lord Charles attended Eton before serving in the Coldstream Guards.

He later joined Christie's auctioneers and held the position of chairman of Christie's International from 1996 to 2002. Known professionally as Charles Allsopp, he famously sold one of Van Gogh's Sunflowers paintings in 1987, starting the bidding at £5 million and finally closing the sale at £24,750,000.
A decade later, he auctioned off 79 dresses belonging to Diana, Princess of Wales, in New York. The event raised over $3 million (£2.3 million) for cancer and Aids charities.
Upon his own father's death, he inherited the title of the Sixth Baron Hindlip. He served as a Conservative member of the House of Lords until his seat was abolished.
The remainder of his estate will be divided among Kirstie, 54, Henry, 52, Sophie, 44, and Natasha Allsopp, 38.
