Foreign Office urgent travel alert as UK tourists warned of severe flooding

UK tourists are now being advised to check with their tour operator or accommodation provider before they travel. Heavy rain across some regions is thought to have caused some rivers to overflow.
In an update on October 20, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) issued information on severe weather and flooding across Italy. It said: "Severe weather and flooding is affecting many areas of Italy, particularly Emilia Romagna and Liguria.
