Latest Dubai travel advice from UK Foreign Office amid Middle East crisis

Holidaymakers heading to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are being warned of 'ongoing hostilities' in the Middle East. The Foreign Office said 'no travel can be guaranteed safe' and that conflict could 'could escalate quickly'.

This means there could be 'risks' - but the Foreign Office has not issued a travel ban to the UAE. The UAE includes Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

It comes as the UK Government is chartering flights for British nationals to exit Lebanon after urging people to leave the country. More than 250 UK citizens have already left on chartered flights.

More than 2,000 British nationals have registered to say they are in the country. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office has issued advice on the conflict affecting Lebanon.

It said: "Ongoing hostilities between Israel and Lebanon could escalate quickly and pose risks for the wider region. Monitor this travel advice and other media as the situation is changing fast.
