Ruth Langsford has opened up on having "many regrets" in the wake of her split from Eamonn Holmes. The ITV This Morning star and GB News presenter called time on their long-standing relationship earlier this year - shocking fans and followers.

Now, in an emotional conversation with Woman and Home Magazine, 64 year old Ruth reflected on past regrets and the importance of progress. "I have many regrets, but I try not to dwell on them. You can't go back and change things," she shared.

She emphasised the importance of learning from the past and prioritising "happiness" for herself and her son Jack, aged 22. Ruth lavished praise on her son with Eamonn, calling him her "greatest love" and describing him as "a delightful, caring and a wonderful young man."

It comes days after Ruth landed a savage swipe at her ex Eamonn after their bitter split. The Loose Women star, 64, made a pointed quip on live TV having recently divided up their belongings as he moved out of their £3.5million Surrey mansion.

In a discussion on the topic of antiques, the panel debated whether they "hang onto old bits of tat" or chuck them out. Ruth then cheekily remarked: "I'm throwing out a lot of stuff out at the moment", as the audience chuckled in response.

In September Eamonn was spotted on a luxury holiday in Barcelona with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander. Ruth reportedly has moved to act in the wake of Eamonn moving on, with reports suggesting she has called in a 'fierce' divorce lawyer.

In May Ruth and Eamonn announced they have split after 14 years of marriage and a 27-year relationship. Ruth and Eamonn welcomed their son, Jack, to the family back in 2002 - after Eamonn finalised his divorce with his ex wife Gabrielle.
