Welsh police car crashes on way to an emergency

A police vehicle has been involved in a collision with another vehicle while responding to an emergency call. North Wales Police has confirmed no-one was injured in the incident.

The collision happened on the A5026 near Pentre Halkyn in Flintshire on Sunday shortly after 5pm. A picture on social media shows the police car crashed into a fence next to the road, NorthWalesLive reports.

North Wales Police said other officers were able to respond to the incident that the crashed patrol car was heading towards. A spokesperson for the force said: "A North Wales Police vehicle that was responding to an incident has been involved in a road traffic collision with another vehicle on the A5026 on the slip road to Halkyn, eastbound on the A55 this evening. "The incident occurred around 5.05pm on Sunday. No-one was injured during the collision and other police officers responded to the incident that the vehicle was attending."
