The Israel Defense Forces said on Saturday that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah had been killed.

In a post on X, the IDF said: "Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world."

The news came after the Israeli military said on Friday it had carried out a strike against Hezbollah's headquarters in Beirut.

The strike targeted Nasrallah, who had led the Lebanese militant group for more than three decades, per multiple reports, citing both Israeli and US officials.

Hezbollah hasn't yet issued its own statement.
