Witness appeal following fatal crash in Sligo

A man in his 20s was fatally injured following a fatal road traffic incident at Drimina, Tubbercurry in Co. Sligo.

The single-vehicle crash involving a car occurred at approximately 3.45am on the R294. The driver of the car was fatally injured.

The local coroner has been notified, and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.

The road remains closed with local diversions in place as examinations are carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 2am and 4am are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
