Man, 30s, dies after being hit by car in Co Clare

A pedestrian has died after he was struck by a car in Co Clare.

The man, aged in his 30s, died in the incident, which occurred on the N67 in Kilkee at around 6.20pm.

The N67 Kilkee to Kilrush road at Lisdeen is closed for a technical examination of the scene and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly any road users with camera footage, including dash-cam, who were travelling in the area at the time, to contact Kilrush Garda Station on 065 908 0550, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
